NuGene Pharma (Shandong) Co., Ltd. makes active pharmaceutical ingredients and dietary supplement raw materials at 8 East Ring Road in the High-Tech Development Zone of Jining, Shandong Province. The business dates from 2003 and traded as Meiji Pharma (Shandong) Co., Ltd. before it was acquired in 2022 and became a subsidiary of Hengkang Pharmaceutical Group.

Production runs on a GMP quality system and covers fermentation and enzymatic routes as well as chemical synthesis. The catalogue includes pyrroloquinoline quinone disodium salt, sold under the VigouFul name, S-adenosyl-L-methionine disulfate tosylate, vitamin K2 as menaquinone-7, DHA algal oil and a 20 percent DHA powder, cold-water-soluble beta-carotene, tauroursodeoxycholic acid and L-ergothioneine.
