Qingdao Wantuming Biological Products Co., Ltd. was established in April 2005 and manufactures chondroitin sulphate, collagen peptides, cartilage extract and solid beverages. The plant is at No. 3 Shuipeng Road in the Laixi Economic and Technological Development Zone, Qingdao, Shandong Province, on a site of 24,158 square metres with more than 15,000 square metres of production buildings.

Facilities include an extraction workshop, a 100,000-class clean workshop, a collagen peptide workshop, a solid beverage workshop, a storage centre, an ethanol recovery unit and a natural gas boiler house. The company holds a Chinese discharge permit and runs a biochemical wastewater treatment system rated at 800 cubic metres a day.

The quality system is built to GMP and certified to USP Dietary Ingredient and USP-GMP standards, NSF-GMP, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and the site has passed an SGS SMETA four-pillar social responsibility audit. The company is a National High-Tech Enterprise, a Qingdao enterprise technology centre and a Shandong gazelle enterprise. From 2018 it began extending from raw materials into finished solid beverages and health foods, signing a technical service contract with Tsinghua University and setting up a joint laboratory with the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where it developed an undenatured collagen peptide. Export sales are supported by Joys Sunny Health Inc. in Los Angeles, and the company exhibits at Vitafoods Europe, CPhI and SupplySide West.
