Production centres on sodium hyaluronate made by microbial fermentation, with annual capacity of about 420 tonnes. Grades are separated into cosmetic raw materials, food and health supplement raw materials, and medical device raw materials, and the company also sells finished oral products under its own brands and on an OEM basis. Recent patent filings cover ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid prepared from fermentation broth and bacterial strains used to make low molecular weight tremella polysaccharide, which it also supplies as an ingredient.
