Tangchengtang (Shandong) Biotechnology makes functional sugars and blends built from them. Prebiotic oligosaccharides sit at the centre, with fructo-oligosaccharide and isomalto-oligosaccharide alongside dietary fibres such as resistant dextrin, inulin and polydextrose, sugar alcohols, starch sugars including maltose syrup, high fructose syrup, crystalline fructose and L-arabinose, and syrups formulated for baking and for drinks.

The company is at Yucheng in Dezhou, Shandong, a town organised around functional sugar production, and shares its site with the affiliated manufacturer Chunyuan Food (Yucheng). It holds ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP and IP certification and keeps a joint research base with Zhejiang University, Jiangnan University and other institutes. It blends to a customer brief and takes OEM and ODM work, with output going into baking, drinks, dairy, confectionery, alcoholic drinks, health foods, medical foods and feed.
