Unitech Chemicals (Zibo) Co., Ltd. was established in February 2002 in Zibo, Shandong province, and works in sucralose, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), polyanionic cellulose (PAC) and organophilic clay. The site covers 128 acres with 43,324 square metres of built area, and registered capital is RMB 12 million. The company reports 198 employees, of whom 106 are engineering staff.

Stated annual capacity is 2,000 tonnes of sucralose, 25,000 tonnes of CMC and PAC combined, and 30,000 tonnes of organophilic clay. Production is run under GMP controls, and the food grade lines are specified against FCC and the European additive numbers E-955 for sucralose and E-466 for CMC. Downstream use is split between food and beverage manufacturing and oil drilling, where the PAC and organophilic clay grades are used in drilling fluids.

Products are exported to the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
