Zaozhuang Dongliang Biotechnology Development Co., Ltd. runs an integrated wheat business that covers growing, milling, deep processing, trading, storage and transport. Its plant sits at No. 9 in the economic development zone of Shanting District, Zaozhuang, Shandong. The company processes about 150,000 tonnes of wheat a year and reports annual output of 90,000 tonnes of wheat starch, 30,000 tonnes of wheat gluten and 5,000 tonnes of medical alcohol, alongside a flour range sold under the Xianlong, Zhonglu Shenliang and Liangshi trademarks.

Production lines for wheat starch, gluten, flour, medical alcohol and alcohol-based disinfectant were developed with the Nanjing Tianzheng Wild Plant Research Institute and Henan University of Technology. Further work with Tsinghua University, Tongji University and Suzhou Biyuan Environmental Technology covers water treatment and effluent recycling. Research now extends the wheat starch and gluten chain into glucosamine, peptides, modified starch, maltose and glucose.

The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and HACCP certification along with an occupational health and safety management system, and lists 46 registered rights covering invention patents, utility models, design patents and software copyrights. It has been recognised as a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialisation and named among China's top ten grain processing companies.
