Zhejiang Dragoni Colour Technology makes synthetic food colours. Tartrazine and its aluminium lake are among the individual lines, within a range of four groups: water-soluble food colours, high-purity colours, compound colours blended to a target shade, and water and oil dispersible aluminium lakes. The same colours go into pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, household products, inks and coatings.

The company sells under two brands, Dragoni and Ersheng, across China and into Asian and European markets. It runs a colour matching centre that formulates blends to a customer's target shade and keeps a reference card of close to two hundred colours.
