Zhejiang Minghuang Natural Food Development Co., Ltd. was founded in 1992 and makes instant tea and plant extracts. Instant tea is the main line, with instant green, black and white tea powders, matcha, tea concentrates and plant based solid beverages. Annual production capacity is stated at 3,000 tonnes.

The production site occupies 52,000 square metres with 30,000 square metres of buildings, running four instant tea workshops, a concentrate workshop and a matcha workshop, and drawing on a core tea garden base of more than 100,000 mu. Subsidiaries include Zhejiang Longyou Minghuang Yellow Tea Development Co., Ltd., Sichuan Minghuang Tea Industry Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Tea Sweet Culture Media Co., Ltd. The plant is at No. 36 Guangming Road, Xiaonanhai Town, Longyou County, with a sales office in Hangzhou. Headcount is 243, including two doctorate holders and 78 staff with bachelor's or master's degrees.

The company is a national high technology enterprise and a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialisation. It runs two provincial research institutes covering tea deep processing and natural products, several provincial research and development centres, a provincial postdoctoral workstation and a municipal expert workstation. Certifications include kosher, CERES organic, halal and Rainforest Alliance, together with ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 and ISO 14001.
