Zhong Hua Fang Da (Int’l) Investment Development Ltd.

Zhong Hua Fang Da (Int'l) Investment Development Ltd. manufactures and distributes sweeteners, with sodium cyclamate and calcium cyclamate as its core products. It also supplies sodium saccharin, aspartame, acesulfame K, sucralose, steviol glycosides, monk fruit extract and blended sweetener formulations. The company is Taiwanese owned, part of the San Fu Group, and registered in Hong Kong, where its head office handles overseas sales.

The group's food ingredient business began with a San Fu plant at Banqiao in Taiwan in the 1950s. Zhong Hua Fang Da (H.K.) Ltd. was set up in Hong Kong in 1989 and Shenzhen Fang Da Food Additive Ltd. followed in 1990. Manufacturing moved to a larger scale in 2001 with Fang Da Food Additive (Yangquan) Ltd. in Yangquan, Shanxi province, which remains the production site. The holding company took its present name in 2016.

Domestic sales are run from a management centre in Shenzhen, with branch offices in Shijiazhuang, Shanghai and Guangzhou and warehouses at Shantou and Shenyang. The company chairs the International Cyclamate Association and sits on committees of the International Sweeteners Association and the Calorie Control Council. Its operations hold FSSC 22000 certification, US FDA registration and halal certification.
