Haohe Biotechnology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd.

Haohe Biotechnology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. was founded jointly by Professor Liu Hao of Tianjin University of Science and Technology and Huang He, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Huang serves as chief scientist and Liu as chairman and general manager. The company is based in the Xinbei District of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province.

Its work is in synthetic biology and green bio-manufacturing of chemicals. It produces L-malic acid by fermentation using its own Aspergillus niger strains, and is building out a product range around L-malic acid as a platform compound, including its mineral salts, for food, pharmaceutical, electronics and chemical applications.
