Harbin Hada Starch mills mung beans into starch and protein. Its range covers mung bean starch, the traditional base for Chinese glass noodles and sheet noodles, mung bean protein powder with a protein content above 83 per cent, and mung bean protein peptide, made by hydrolysing that protein with enzymes and then separating, purifying and drying it.

The company dates from 1984 and occupies about 28,000 square metres in the Niujia industrial park in the Hanan district of Harbin, Heilongjiang. Annual processing capacity is 10,000 tonnes of mung beans. It exports to Europe and North America and shows at United States ingredient trade fairs.
