Hebei Hongri Natural Pigment extracts colour and flavour from capsicum and turmeric. It makes paprika oleoresin and capsicum oleoresin, curcumin and turmeric powder, and also processes the raw pods, selling dried chilli and sweet pepper, powders, crushed material and flakes, so a buyer can take either the concentrated extract or the spice itself from one plant.

The company started in August 2005 and pairs its own extraction with development work on natural pigments. Export is a substantial part of the business: it ships to customers in Europe, North America, South America, South East Asia and the Middle East.
