Hubei Fuxing Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a holding subsidiary of Fuxing Group, which the site describes as one of the top 500 private enterprises in China. Registered capital is RMB 100 million and the site covers more than 110,000 square metres at No. 18 Fuxing Street, Chenhu Town, Hanchuan City, Hubei. Headcount is over 130.

The company ferments and formulates polyunsaturated fatty acids, principally arachidonic acid and docosahexaenoic acid. DHA is sold as an oil and as a microencapsulated powder. Nine intellectual property rights are held in microbial oils and microcapsules, and the company has carried out a high-intensity fermentation production technology project under the national 863 programme. It is a postdoctoral industrial base for Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

A Danish spray drying tower was installed in 2009 and remains one of the few imported powder drying units in this Chinese industry. The in-house quality inspection centre is accredited to CNAS. Product specifications follow the Chinese national standards GB 26401-2011, GB 26400-2011, GB 26687-2011, GB 14880-2012 and GB 2760, together with the European Union requirements for infant formula.

Certification covers ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, OHSAS 18001, halal and kosher, and the company holds FDA and European Union novel food approvals. It lists 142 customers, among them the dairy companies Yili, Feihe, Synutra, Yashili and Beingmate, and exports to the European Union and other markets.
