Hubei Konson Konjac Gum Co., Ltd., registered in Chinese as Hubei Qiangsen Konjac Technology Co., Ltd., has worked on konjac raw materials since 1998. Its office is at Hanjie Headquarters International on Zhongbei Road in Wuchang District, Wuhan, and its factory is in the Huarong entrepreneurship park in Huarong District, Ezhou, Hubei.

The company sits in one of the main konjac growing regions in China; the mountains of western Hubei are described on its site as the source of the best domestic material. Output is konjac flour and konjac compound products, grouped into purified powder, high transparency, micro powder and fine powder series. The site sets out the underlying chemistry, noting that dried konjac holds roughly 50 to 60 percent glucomannan alongside starch, cellulose, crude fat, soluble sugars and ash, and that konjac glucomannan is a polysaccharide of D-glucose and D-mannose in a ratio of about 1 to 1.6 with a molecular weight between one and two million daltons.

From 2013 the company began building an overseas raw material supply chain and now runs several konjac processing bases in newer growing regions. Products are sold in Europe, the Americas, South Korea and Southeast Asia, and are used in meat products, jellies and puddings, konjac vegetarian and snack foods, health foods and supplements, noodles and pastry, cold drinks and ice cream, dairy, seasonings, edible packaging films, pet food, gummies, medical capsules and cleansing pads.
