Konjac Micro Flour

Konjac Micro Flour is konjac corm flour milled to micron-scale particle size, typically 200 to 400 mesh or finer, with median particle diameter under 75 micrometres. Glucomannan content is usually 75 to 85 percent.

The micron particle size gives rapid wetting, complete dispersion in cold water without lumping, and almost no grittiness in finished products.

We source bulk Konjac Micro Flour from top China manufacturers for our partners. The manufacturer is in Hubei. A smaller requirement can ship in a combined container with other ingredients.

Please send the grade you need, the volume and your destination port, and we will come back with a solution and a price.

Common Markets Grades

Konjac Micro Flour is graded in several mesh classes.

The standard micro grade runs at 200 mesh with median particle diameter near 75 micrometres. It is the standard grade for instant beverages and dairy applications.

The ultra-micro grade at 300 to 400 mesh, with median diameter under 45 micrometres, is used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and fine beverage applications where grittiness has to be kept to a minimum.

Each grade is specified by particle size distribution rather than viscosity, since milling does not change the polymer molecular weight.

Applications

  • Instant beverage and meal-replacement powders for cold shaker dispersion
  • Pharmaceutical bulk laxatives and weight-management tablets
  • Dietary fibre supplements where powder mouthfeel matters
  • Clinical nutrition products for tube feeding and oral supplements
  • Smooth dairy desserts and ice-cream stabiliser blends
  • Functional beverages and protein drinks
  • Cosmetic facial sponges, masks, and natural-positioning gels
  • Baby food and toddler nutrition where texture must be uniform
  • Liquid sauces and dressings where grittiness would be detected
  • Edible films and coating systems requiring uniform dispersion

China Manufacturers of Konjac Micro Flour

How We Help Source Konjac Micro Flour

  • Direct Factory Sourcing

We run the whole process: selecting the manufacturer from the top Chinese food ingredient producers, negotiating the price, verifying quality, and coordinating the logistics. You deal with us instead of with several factories at once.

  • Original Packaging and Documents from the Manufacturer

The manufacturer sends your Konjac Micro Flour out of its own factory in the original packing, through to your destination port. The COA, COO, MSDS, TDS and any certifications reach you from the manufacturer as well.

  • Free Samples and Lead Time

We send 100 to 500 g free for your own laboratory to test and you cover only the courier, usually within 2 to 3 working days. ETD is usually within 7 to 15 days once the order is confirmed, and we check that date against the factory's own manufacturing schedule before we give it to you.

  • Combined Shipment

We can load Konjac Micro Flour together with other ingredients such as Carrageenan, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose and Agar Agar into one 20' FCL. If your quantity is small, we can also ship LCL.

Regulatory Status

Konjac Micro Flour is regulated as konjac flour in most jurisdictions.

It is permitted as a food ingredient in the European Union, the United States, China, Japan, and most other regulated markets. Mini-cup jelly restrictions apply where legislated.

Pharmaceutical grades meet relevant national pharmacopoeia monographs. Halal, Kosher, vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free certifications are routinely available.

Manufacturing Process

Production starts from refined konjac flour, which is fed through a jet mill or air-classifier mill capable of producing micron-scale output.

Jet milling uses high-velocity air or steam to drive particles into collision, achieving size reduction without mechanical grinding heat. The output is then air-classified to remove any coarse fraction.

The fine product is collected through cyclone and bag filter systems and packaged in low-bioburden lined bags. Moisture is controlled below 8 percent to prevent agglomeration during storage.

Quality control verifies particle size distribution by laser diffraction, viscosity by stirred Brookfield, glucomannan content by spectrophotometric assay, and microbial counts.
