Jiangsu Huanyu Kangli makes food additives for two main jobs, coagulating and emulsifying. Glucono-delta-lactone, the acid-releasing coagulant used to set tofu, is a core line, with the gluconate salts of calcium, iron and zinc beside it, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids as emulsifiers, aluminium-free baking powder, polydimethylsiloxane and its emulsions, and defoamers for food processing.

The business traces back to the Xiaohe fine chemical works founded in 1985 in Wujin County, Changzhou, and now trades as part of the Zhuoyun group, manufacturing at Menghe in Changzhou, Jiangsu. It employs close to 400 people across nearly 100,000 square metres of building, keeps a marketing office in central Changzhou, and holds ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and Halal certification.
