QingDao PengYuan KangHua Natural Source Co., Ltd.

Qingdao Pengyuan Kanghua Natural Source Co., Ltd. began in 1996 as the Qingdao Pengyuan Natural Pigment Research Institute and is one of the earlier entrants in China's natural colourant industry. It is based at No. 1 Xingwu Road, Yuanshang, Laixi, Qingdao, Shandong Province, with registered capital of 13 million yuan.

The company works on anthocyanin extraction, natural colourants and concentrated juices from plant sources. Its core colours are drawn from purple sweet potato, red cabbage, radish, beetroot, grape skin, perilla and black carrot, corresponding to E163, E162, E140, E141 and E100. A wider custom range adds sorghum red, monascus red, cocoa shell colour, gardenia yellow, blue, green and red, safflower red and yellow, spirulina blue and roselle in shades from deep red to purplish red. Concentrated juices from purple carrot, sweet potato and beetroot are supplied alongside the powders and liquids.

Customers are in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and personal care industries, and products are exported to more than twenty countries. The company states that it holds ISO, HACCP, FSSC, Halal, Kosher and FDA certification, and it exhibits at the China International Food Additives and Ingredients exhibition.
