Qufu Shengren Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. produces steviol glycoside sweeteners at 6 Shengwang Avenue in the Shuyuan industrial park at Qufu, a county-level city under Jining in Shandong Province. It is a subsidiary of Shandong Shengwang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., known in English as Sunwin, and holds Chinese GMP certification for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The plant extracts and refines glycosides from stevia leaf. Its products are steviol glycosides including rebaudioside A, enzymatically modified glucosyl steviol glycosides, and stevioside supplied as a pharmaceutical excipient. It also makes metformin hydrochloride as an active pharmaceutical ingredient. The company states it was the first in Shandong Province to hold a production licence for stevioside as a pharmaceutical excipient and the first in the province to be certified for glucosyl steviol glycosides.

The site covers 80,000 square metres and the company reports more than 600 employees. Its sweeteners are supplied to food, beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
