Shandong Hengxin Biological Technology Co., Ltd. (山东恒鑫生物科技股份有限公司) was established in October 2005 in Zhanhua District, Binzhou, Shandong Province. It develops, produces and sells gelatin and collagen ingredients.
Its three main products are food additive gelatin, pharmaceutical grade gelatin and hydrolysed collagen peptide, with hollow hard capsules and soft capsules also listed. Its collagen peptide is made by enzymatic hydrolysis of animal hide or bone to an average molecular weight below 2,000 daltons, with protein content above 97 percent. Pharmaceutical gelatin from the plant goes into hard and soft capsules, vitamin coatings, haemostatic agents and vaccine excipients.
Annual capacity is 15,000 tonnes of gelatin and 6,000 tonnes of collagen peptide, run on skin gelatin and hydrolysed collagen peptide production equipment. The company exhibits at API China, the Chinese pharmaceutical ingredients trade show.
