Shandong Jintian Biotechnology makes sugar alcohols and syrups. The polyol side covers maltitol and maltitol syrup, sorbitol and sorbitol solution, xylitol and erythritol; the syrup side covers mooncake invert syrup, sucrose-free syrup, high-fibre sucrose-free syrup, brown sugar syrup, fruit-preserve syrup and sucrose-free powdered sugar, plus syrups formulated for pastry, cake, bread, barbecue, cold drinks and seasoning. It will also blend a syrup to a customer's own specification.

The plant is at the national high-tech development zone in Yucheng, Dezhou, Shandong, a district that markets itself as China's functional sugar city and holds several other polyol producers. Combined output across its products is more than 50,000 tonnes a year. The company holds national high-tech enterprise status, and Shandong named it a gazelle enterprise in 2024 and a provincial key agricultural industrialisation enterprise in 2025.
