Shandong Sanwei Soybean Protein makes soy protein for food manufacturers. Its lines cover soy protein concentrate, textured soy protein, textured soy protein concentrate and defatted soy protein flour, along with the fibrous extruded protein used to build meat-like structure in vegetarian products and meat extension. The extruded protein carries a Chinese patent held by the company.

Founded in 2000, Sanwei belongs to Shandong Sanwei Holding Group and works from a 70,000 square metre site in Linyi, Shandong, on the Yi River. It imported its production lines from the United States and Israel, and gives design capacity as 20,000 tonnes a year with 35 research staff. The company holds its own import and export licence, a Chinese SC food production licence, ISO 9001 and FSSC food safety certification, and sells at home and abroad.
