Sichuan Huigukang Biotechnology makes bone and joint health raw materials from animal tissue. Chondroitin sulphate sodium is the main line, at 90, 95 and 98 percent assay and in low molecular weight and Halal bovine versions, with collagen peptide including type II collagen beside it. The catalogue also covers heparin, sodium hyaluronate, glucosamine hydrochloride, shark cartilage powder and bile acids such as ursodeoxycholic acid.

The business dates from 2005 and manufactures at Guanghan in Deyang, Sichuan. It uses an alcohol-free extraction route with dedicated enzymes and puts annual capacity at 720 tonnes of chondroitin sulphate sodium and 3,000 tonnes of collagen peptide, to BP, CP, EP, JP and USP monographs. It registered a US drug master file and gained NSF, GMP and Halal certification in 2021, ISO 22000 and a collagen peptide food licence in 2022, and a Chinese pharmaceutical GMP licence in 2023.
