Wuhan Sanjiang Space Good Biotech Co., Ltd.

Hubei Sanjiang Space Good Biotechnology Co., Ltd., known as Good Company, is affiliated to the Sixth Research Institute of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. It works on lactic acid and its derivatives for food additive, active pharmaceutical ingredient and fine chemical use, and holds national specialised little giant and high-tech enterprise status. Its plant is in the Shili Industrial Park at Guangshui, Hubei.

The product range covers lactic acid, calcium lactate, sodium lactate and ferrous lactate, and extends into lactates for bio-based materials. The company runs a provincial enterprise technology centre and states 27 valid patents, nine of them invention patents, covering lactic acid fermentation, lactic acid refining, lactate salts and bio-based material production. It has taken part in drafting four national and four industry standards for lactic acid products, and has carried out projects under the national 863 programme and an NDRC high-technology industrialisation programme.

Two parallel quality systems are run, one for APIs and one for food additives. The company holds current Chinese GMP certification for lactic acid, calcium lactate and sodium lactate as APIs, and its API workshop was designed by the Wuhan Pharmaceutical Design Institute with class D clean rooms. Other certification covers ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRC, Kosher and Halal. Products are tested by SGS against USP, BP, EP, JSFA, FCC, CP and GB, and are exported to more than 30 countries in Europe, the Americas and Southeast Asia.
