Yantai Taishen Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has worked in marine biotechnology since 2003 and has been based at No. 11 Xuzhou Street in the Yantai development zone, Shandong province, since 2019. Registered capital is RMB 20.2 million. The company is registered as a provincial high-tech enterprise, a technology-based SME and a Shandong specialised and innovative enterprise.

The product range covers carrageenan, sodium alginate, agar agar, konjac gum, seaweed powder and compound thickener blends, sold into food, pharmaceuticals, health products, pet food, household and personal care, cosmetics, and textile printing and dyeing. Applications given on the site run from jelly and gummies through meat products and beverages to dairy and frozen desserts. A new plant reached scale production of konjac gum in 2025.

Development work is supported by three software copyrights, three granted invention patents and more than ten further applications, with joint research carried out with Yantai University, Yantai Institute of Technology and Hebei Agricultural University. Quality is managed to Kosher, Halal, ISO 9001 and HACCP requirements, with traceability from raw material selection through processing to finished goods testing. Products are sold to Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Japan and South Korea.
