Yuzhi Senbanyuan (Shanghai) Tea Co., Ltd. trades as SBY Matcha and produces matcha, ultra-fine green tea powders, flavoured teas and tea-based beverage ingredients. It works with Senbanyuan (Shanghai) International Trade Co., Ltd. on export sales. The company owns the plantations it draws from, so cultivation, shading, harvest and grinding are all handled in house, and it applies Japanese Uji matcha practice, with tea plants shade-grown for twenty days before picking.

Its organic plantation covers 2,396 acres under EU organic certification, and a second plantation is managed to European standards. Cultivars grown include Shu Bei, Aolu, Asahi and Longjing 43. Processing runs through a 10,000 square metre workshop that includes a 600 square metre class 100,000 purification area, and a further production facility of 90,000 square metres. Stated capacities are 20,000 tonnes a year of green tea, 400 tonnes of tencha, the base leaf for matcha, and 500 tonnes of jasmine tea base. Facilities include a plant at Meitan in Guizhou and an intelligent factory project at Quzhou in Zhejiang, alongside a further 60,000 square metre refining, blending and research facility under development together with roughly 3,294 acres of new organic tea gardens.

The company exports more than 1,000 tonnes of matcha a year to the European Union, Japan and Southeast Asia, and supplies food and beverage manufacturers as well as domestic customers. Certification covers HACCP, ISO 9000, EU organic, NOP and COR, and the company holds export qualifications.
