Zhongjing Food Co., Ltd. was founded in 2002 and is listed on the Shenzhen ChiNext board under the code 300908. It makes seasoning foods and seasoning ingredients. Consumer lines include shiitake mushroom sauce, Shanghai scallion oil, fresh Sichuan pepper oil and cooking sauces; the ingredient business supplies spice and seasoning preparations to food manufacturers, among them Unilever and Master Kong.

Production is based at Xixia County in Nanyang, Henan, a shiitake growing region in the Funiu mountains, with a marketing centre in the Zhengdong New District of Zhengzhou. The company employs more than 1,000 people. Its history records the launch of pepper oil in 2006, mushroom sauce in 2008, a new Xixia plant in 2011, a Zhengzhou branch and a Henan provincial shiitake engineering technology centre in 2013, and two further extraction workshops in 2014.

Core technologies cover enzymatic hydrolysis, temperature and humidity controlled fermentation, precision temperature controlled frying, molecular distillation and quantitative flavour blending. The company operates a Henan provincial flavour substance extraction laboratory and is certified to ISO 22000. It has been designated a national green factory, a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialisation, a high technology enterprise and a Henan intelligent factory. Some products are exported to the United States and the United Kingdom.
