Guangxi Gaotong Food Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2005 and operates from Gaotong Road in Chuanshan Town, Liujiang District, Liuzhou, Guangxi. Registered capital is 12 million yuan and the site covers more than 30 mu. The company states an annual production capacity of 5,500 tonnes of food additives.

Its core products are sucrose fatty acid esters across the HLB 1 to 16 range and polyglycerol fatty acid esters. Alongside these it makes syrups, including brown sugar, inverted sucrose and rock sugar syrups, and compounded emulsifiers, emulsifying thickeners, preservatives, stabilisers and thickeners. A separate fruit and vegetable line handles passion fruit pulp and juice, concentrated juices and purees, and the company runs contract manufacturing for beverages and fruit products in retail and foodservice pack sizes. The compound additive line is rated at two tonnes an hour.

Gaotong is recognised as a high-tech enterprise and as a specialised and sophisticated small and medium enterprise, and is designated an enterprise technology centre and key laboratory by the city of Liuzhou. It holds FSSC 22000 food safety and ISO 9001:2015 quality certification. Its sucrose fatty acid ester series was named a Guangxi Famous Brand Product in 2018 and carries halal and kosher certification. Export markets named on the site include Germany, South Korea, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Brazil and Spain. A Dendrobium product line was recognised at a rural development expo in 2021.
