Guangzhou Lemon Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was founded in June 2018 and has its head office on Tianhe North Road in the Tianhe district of Guangzhou. It produces plant-based hydrocolloids and natural sweeteners, principally citrus pectin, citrus fibre, carrageenan, konjac gum and monk fruit mogroside, and is recognised as a national high-tech enterprise.

Manufacturing is spread across five sites. The Jiangxi base covers more than 140 mu and has annual capacity of 3,000 tonnes of pectin, 1,500 tonnes of citrus fibre and 1,200 tonnes of refined carrageenan. A facility in Fuzhou operated as Nanzomai Biological produces 50,000 kilograms a year of high-purity mogroside from monk fruit. A base in Puyang covers 60 mu and concentrates on food-grade pectin for dairy, gummies and jams. Zhangzhou Lvxing Marine Biotechnology handles application research and sales of carrageenan and agar and trades bulk seaweed. A further plant at Huaiji is planned with total investment of 1.018 billion yuan on a 200 mu site; a pectin blending centre and R&D laboratory building there were opened in December 2025.

The company reports processing around 10,800 tonnes a year, with roughly 368 customers in 32 countries. Its materials are used in dairy products and beverages, meat, bakery, sauces, jams, gummies and pharmaceutical applications, with much of the commercial focus on clean-label reformulation and on plant-based alternatives to gelatin in confectionery.
