Hebei Fengchuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2014 in the Chengxi Economic Development Zone at Xinhe County, Xingtai, Hebei. It develops, produces and sells microbial polysaccharides and related food raw materials.

Its main products are xanthan gum and high acyl gellan gum, together with curdlan, pullulan, beta-1,3-glucan and chitosan oligosaccharide, and compound systems built from them. Grades are offered for food, feed and oilfield use. The company also formulates application-specific blends rather than selling only single gums.

The application work is organised by food category. In beverages it covers vegetable protein and cereal drinks, milk drinks, fruit and vegetable juices, compound drinks and fermented juices. In starch and flour products it covers potato starch processing, instant noodles, noodles and vermicelli. Meat applications include sausage, canned meat, fish balls and meat fillings, and it also works on vegetarian products such as imitation abalone, vegetarian chicken and tofu, and on seasoning applications including instant noodle flavourings, jams, salads and soy sauce.

The company says it develops its own production technology, holds a number of national invention patents with independent intellectual property rights, and works with universities on production technology and market applications, feeding the results back into customised products and services.
