Henan Jianyuan Rosemary Products Co., Ltd.

Henan Jianyuan works on one plant, rosemary, and takes it apart into several fractions. It makes rosemary extract standardised on carnosic acid at 5 to 80 per cent and as a 5 to 25 per cent paste, rosmarinic acid at 5 to 35 per cent, ursolic acid at 5 to 80 per cent, rosemary essential oil, rosemary hydrosol and dried leaf. The antioxidant grades go into fats, meat and snack foods, the oil and hydrosol into flavour and personal care.

The company started in 2017 at Biyang County in Zhumadian, Henan, and holds national high-tech enterprise status and its own import and export licence. It grows its raw material, farming 20,000 mu of rosemary in Henan, and processes about 300 tonnes of extract a year on a 40 mu site built to GMP standards. Henan has recognised the plant as a provincial engineering technology research centre for rosemary products.
