Hunan Huacheng Biotech, Inc. was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in the Changsha High-tech Zone at No. 8 Xingkang South Road, Hunan. It is a national high-technology enterprise and one of the eight founding members of the Chinese Plant Extract Industry Alliance.

Monk fruit is the core business. The company built the industry standard for monk fruit extract and later the standard for monk fruit sweetener blends, and it holds more than 200 invention patents. Capacity for mogroside V at 50 percent purity has reached 650 tonnes a year, and a blended sweetener line has been expanded to 15,000 tonnes a year. The range covers monk fruit extract and mogrosides, monk fruit concentrated juice and monk fruit blended sweeteners under the H2-Luo name, stevia extract under H2-Via, instant tea powder and nutritional supplements. The company runs an OEM service and sells finished sugar reduction solutions for beverages, baking, confectionery, drink mixes, table sugar and dairy.

Raw material comes from monk fruit plantings managed to good agricultural practice across more than 70 counties. Manufacturing runs from the completed Changsha headquarters facility, a plant at Suining in Shaoyang and a site under construction at Rongjiang in Guizhou; large-scale stevia production has also begun. A sales office was opened in the United States and later replaced by a larger North American headquarters at Cranbury, New Jersey, trading as Adallen Nutrition, Inc.

Certification covers NSF cGMP, BRC, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, halal, kosher, non-GMO and FDA GRAS. Huacheng has been recognised as a national green factory and has won a second prize in the Hunan technical invention awards.
