Jiangxi Hairui Natural Plant Co., Ltd. was founded in 2006 and distils and refines natural plant essential oils and their isolated constituents. Its works are in the Jinggangshan Economic and Technological Development Zone at Ji'an in Jiangxi Province, at the foot of the Jinggang Mountains, an area with established camphor, cinnamon and star anise cultivation. The site covers 1.472 hectares with 15,000 square metres of buildings, and cumulative investment is reported at more than 56 million yuan. It is registered as a high-tech enterprise.

The company works by steam distillation, cold pressing and supercritical carbon dioxide extraction, and also purifies single compounds from the crude oils. Listed products include star anise oil, Chinese cinnamon oil, clove oil, ginger oil, eucalyptus oil, patchouli oil, geranium oil, lavender oil, peppermint oil and crystalline menthol. These are supplied as flavouring materials to food, beverage and confectionery manufacturers and as aroma materials to the fragrance and personal care trades.
