It grinds heavy calcium carbonate and precipitates light calcium carbonate, and it calcines and slakes stone into calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide. Food and feed makers use these as anticaking agents, acidity regulators, calcium fortifiers and processing aids, and the same grades sell into plastics, rubber, paper and coatings.

The company operates in Qiannan prefecture in southern Guizhou, drawing on the Mawei limestone deposits in the karst belt along the Guizhou and Guangxi border, and it carries total investment of 80 million yuan. It sells under the Xinglong calcium powder name, which it took over along with that business's customers, and gives combined production and sales capacity of 200,000 tonnes a year of ground calcium carbonate food additive and related products.
