Quanzhou Xizhilang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (泉州市玺智琅生物科技有限公司) supplies agar and carrageenan on the Chinese market from an address in Hanjiang Town, Shishi, a county-level city administered by Quanzhou in Fujian Province. It is the Chinese subsidiary of PT Fuyuan Biologi Technology of Indonesia and handles distribution of the parent company's output within China.

Production takes place at the parent's plant at Banyuglugur, Situbondo, in East Java. Agar powder is made from Gracilaria seaweed and carrageenan from Eucheuma, with the range covering refined and semi-refined kappa carrageenan powder, semi-refined iota carrageenan powder, alkali-treated cottonii and spinosum chips, and agar powder. The group states it has more than twenty years of experience processing seaweed into these hydrocolloids, and that the powders are made without preservatives or added colour.

PT Fuyuan operates its own laboratory for product testing and holds Halal, Kosher, HACCP and GMP certification. Besides Indonesia and China, it sells into Malaysia, India and European Union countries.
