Rugao Changjiang Food Co., Ltd.

Rugao Changjiang Food, which also trades as Nantong Changjiang Food Ingredient, was founded in 1997 and makes preservatives at No. 61 Rugang Road in Changjiang Town, Rugao, within Nantong prefecture in Jiangsu. The site covers 19,980 square metres, and the company reports fixed assets above CNY 50 million and more than 200 staff, 22 of them engineers and technicians.

Production is concentrated on the sorbate family. Stated annual capacities are 13,000 tonnes of potassium sorbate, 5,000 tonnes of sorbic acid, 5,000 tonnes of calcium propionate, 2,000 tonnes of calcium sorbate and 2,000 tonnes of calcium citrate. Potassium sorbate is offered in granular or needle, powder and spherical forms, and calcium propionate in granular and powder grades. The company states that its products are made to FCC and to the European specifications for E200 and E202.

Export markets include Europe, the United States, Japan, Australia and South America. The quality system carries BRC, GMP, HACCP, ISO22000, FSSC22000 and FAMI-QS certification, along with kosher and halal approvals.
