Seno Biotech

Seno Biotech is a Chinese producer of egg-derived functional ingredients based in Jilin Province and trading as Jilin Shengao Biotechnology Co., Ltd. It is affiliated with Jinyi Food Co., Ltd. and draws its raw material from that group's traceable egg supply chain, which links laying operations, egg processing and ingredient extraction under one ownership. The company describes itself as a high-tech enterprise working on egg-based nutrients and bioactive compounds.

Its ingredient range is built from separated egg fractions. Eggshell membrane is the product it promotes most actively, marketed for joint health on the basis of its collagen, hyaluronic acid and chondroitin content. The company also supplies egg white protein powder, egg albumin peptide, egg yolk globulin, egg yolk phospholipoprotein, hydrolysed egg yolk powder and egg yolk oil. These are sold as raw materials for nutritional supplements, functional foods and health management products, and the company offers customisation for customer formulations.

Seno exhibited at the 8th Food Technology Innovation Forum, presenting work on joint health ingredients. Its parent, Jilin Jinyi Egg Products Co., Ltd., is based in Dongliao County, Jilin Province, was established in 2003 with registered capital of 143.28 million yuan, and is recorded as a national agricultural industrialisation leading enterprise processing around 150,000 tonnes of fresh eggs a year from about five million laying hens.
