Weihai Yuwang Group Marine Bioengineeing Co., Ltd.

Weihai Yuwang Group Marine Bioengineering Co., Ltd. was set up in 2011 by the shareholders of Weihai Yuwang Group Co., Ltd. and operates as a wholly owned subsidiary. Its plant stands inside the Yuwang Group marine science park at 339-9 Qingdao South Road in Weihai, Shandong Province, on a site of 22,000 square metres. The parent group dates from 1956 and combines fishing, seafood and vegetable processing, mariculture and marine biotechnology.

The subsidiary works on enzymatic hydrolysis of marine raw material. Its product families are fish scale collagen peptide and fish collagen powder, marine fish oligopeptides, sea cucumber peptide, oyster peptide and giant salamander peptide, together with fucoidan sulphate extracted from brown seaweed and trehalose. Output goes into dietary supplements, functional foods and foods for special dietary use, and the company also makes finished formats such as krill oil gel candies.

The company is a member of the China Food Additives and Ingredients Association and exhibits at nutrition and health ingredient trade fairs in China.
