Wuxi Century Bio-engineering Co., Ltd.

Wuxi Century Bio-engineering Co., Ltd. was founded in 1998 and has worked on tea pigments and other tea extracts since. It received a Chinese invention patent for tea pigment production in 2007 and describes itself as the first plant in China to make theaflavins on an industrial scale. Its site is in the Mashan industrial park in the Binhu District of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.

Production falls into three groups. The tea extract line covers theaflavins, tea polyphenols, EGCG, theanine, instant tea powder and vine tea powder. A water-soluble functional ingredient line covers curcumin, octacosanol, coenzyme Q10, lutein and lycopene. A fruit and vegetable juice powder line includes aronia, bayberry and strawberry juice powders.

The company supplies these materials as food additives and ingredients to health food manufacturers, including customers outside China.
