Yihai Kerry Food Technology is the business-to-business ingredient arm of Yihai Kerry Arawana Holdings Co., Ltd., the Chinese grain and oil group held by Wilmar International of Singapore. The group is headquartered in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, and listed on the ChiNext board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2020 under code 300999. Its history runs back to 1988, when Kerry Oils built a plant at Shekou in Shenzhen and produced the Arawana consumer cooking oil brand. Wilmar acquired Kerry Oils in 2006 and merged it with its existing Yihai group in China.

The group employs more than 35,000 people and operates 81 production bases and over 100 manufacturing companies across China. Its activities cover oilseed crushing, edible oil refining, specialty fats and oleochemicals, and the deep processing of rice, corn, wheat and soybeans, along with central kitchen operations and grain and oil research.

The ingredient portfolio sold to food manufacturers includes specialty fats for confectionery, chocolate and baking, industrial chocolate, flour, syrup, starch, vegetable protein, vitamin E, lecithin, food grade glycerol, monoglycerides, rice flour, edible alcohol, cereals and premix powders. The group has developed a low-intensity refining process that retains more than 80 percent of the vitamin E naturally present in vegetable oil, which reduces the need for added antioxidants.
