Zhejiang Weishi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established in 2005 at Xingkang Road 71, Wuzhen Town, Tongxiang, in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. It makes fat soluble vitamins, carotenoids and other nutritional additives, and its process centres on a double embedded microencapsulation technique used to stabilise oil soluble actives in dry powder form.

The group's manufacturing history goes back to 1998, when it began producing gluconates, and it later added vitamins A, D, E and K, DHA, ARA, beta-carotene, lutein and lycopene. Plant equipment includes an embedded microencapsulation line, a centrifugal granulation and spray drying system, and premix blending systems for powders and liquids handling batches from 50 to 5,000 kilograms.

In 2016 the company invested in and absorbed the business of Jiangxi Jirui Biotechnology Co., Ltd., which gave it the complete vitamin D3 production chain. Technical modification projects for vitamin D3 crystallisation, vitamin D2 and cholesterol were added the following year. Vitamin D3 is supplied as crystal in pharmaceutical grade, as resin, and as 500 and 500 CWS feed grades. Certification covers FSSC 22000, FAMI-QS, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, OU kosher and halal.
