Chengde Trend Biotech works the apricot kernel chain, with amygdalin at 5 to 99 per cent as its main line, alongside apricot kernel protein, apricot kernel flour and apricot kernel oil in food and cosmetic grades. A second group covers plant and mushroom extracts, including rhodiola rosea at 3 per cent rosavins, shiitake mushroom extract and organic astragalus root extract.

The company built its factory in 2017 at Chengde in Hebei, in an apricot and edible fungus growing area, and brought amygdalin into in-house production in 2022. It reports an investment of 75 million yuan, a site of 35 mu and more than 30,000 square metres of buildings, with extraction equipment that includes MVR evaporators, alcohol precipitation tanks and spray towers. It also holds stock in a United States warehouse.
