Chongqing Chuandong Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd.

Chongqing Chuandong Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1958 and is headquartered at No. 70 Danzishi New Street in the Nan'an District of Chongqing. It works phosphorus chemistry from the rock upward, holding its own phosphate reserves and dedicated railway lines, and runs four production bases across Chongqing, Guizhou and Guangxi covering close to 14.4 million square feet in total. The group employs nearly 2,000 people and reports annual operating income above 7 billion yuan.

The catalogue runs past a thousand items, among them phosphate rock, yellow phosphorus, phosphoric acid and phosphates, formic acid and formates, chemical reagents, electronic chemicals and food and feed additives. Food-grade phosphoric acid, sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium pyrophosphate, disodium dihydrogen pyrophosphate, sodium hexametaphosphate and trisodium phosphate are made on lines with a combined capacity of 200,000 tonnes a year, matched by a further 200,000 tonnes of ceramic-grade phosphates. A patented process gives formic acid at up to 99.99 percent purity, feeding a formate range with 100,000 tonnes of annual capacity.

Chongqing Wansheng Chuandong Chemical, a wholly owned subsidiary, was built in 2017 to relocate the group's older chemical plant and reagent plant. It covers 1.82 million square feet, employs nearly 400 people and represents a total investment of 500 million yuan. Group certifications include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, FSSC 22000 and FAMI-QS, and products reach more than 100 countries.
