Hebei Yuwei Biotechnology makes inositol and a group of ingredients related to it. Alongside myo-inositol it produces D-chiro-inositol, D-mannose and D-glucuronolactone, the phytic acid family of phytic acid, sodium phytate and calcium magnesium phytate, all extracted from maize, plus amino acids such as D- and L-serine and L-hydroxyproline and calcium phosphates in tricalcium and dicalcium form.

The company started in 2010 at the Hancun development zone in Suning County, Cangzhou, Hebei, on a site of about 100,000 square metres employing more than 500 people. It states annual capacity of 6,000 tonnes of inositol, 2,000 tonnes of D-mannose and 1,500 tonnes of phytic acid and sodium phytate, and sells into more than 70 countries under ISO, BRC, Fami-QS and organic certification.
