Qingdao Fuso Refining & Processing Co., Ltd.

Qingdao Fuso Refining and Processing Co., Ltd. was registered in Qingdao in July 1994 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuso Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. of Japan. It operates from 200 Zhuzhou Road in the Laoshan District of Qingdao, Shandong Province, and carries the Japanese parent's process technology, including its dust-free handling method for powdered acids.

The plant makes both single-substance food additives and blended preparations. Single products include DL-malic acid, sodium malate, refined citric acid, monosodium fumarate, natural vitamin E powder, coated organic acids and hydrogenated starch hydrolysate syrup. The compounded range covers pH adjusters used for shelf-life control, phosphate-free water-retention agents, and colour fixatives for seafood and vegetables. These go into seafood and meat processing, baking, fruit and vegetable preparation and beverages. A separate business line supplies acids for electronics applications, including surface treatment and metalworking fluids.

Output is sold in China and exported to Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America, and the company states that its products meet Chinese, Japanese and other national standards. It holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification and maintains its own product development team. The company is a member of the China Food Additives and Ingredients Association.
