Shandong Ruiheng Biotechnology makes preservative salts for food and feed. The range covers benzoic acid and sodium benzoate, sodium acetate, sodium acetate trihydrate, calcium acetate and calcium acetate monohydrate, calcium propionate and sodium propionate, and lactate salts. Total capacity is 30,000 tonnes a year, of which benzoates account for 16,000 tonnes.

The company was set up in December 2018 by a returnee technical team together with a local firm, and built in the Lunan high-tech chemical park at Mushi in Tengzhou, Shandong. The site covers 5,000 square metres with 4,000 square metres of plant, on total investment of 60 million yuan. In 2022 it added a sales subsidiary, Shandong Tengbao Food Technology, and it now exports to the European Union, Africa, the United States, Japan, Russia and other markets. It sits on the council of the China Food Additives and Ingredients Association.
