Wangshuhe Biomedicine (Wuhan) makes encapsulated actives, wrapping poorly soluble or unstable compounds in liposomes and microcapsules so that they disperse in water and survive processing. Its food ingredient line covers astaxanthin, quercetin, turmeric, tea polyphenol and urolithin A microcapsules, and the same technology feeds its cosmetic actives and medical device materials.

The company was founded in February 2023 and works from the Dongxihu district of Wuhan in Hubei. It reports cumulative research spending of 150 million yuan, and says more than 60 percent of its technical staff hold doctorates. It holds national high-technology enterprise status and the Hubei "specialised and innovative" designation, and runs an approved Wuhan municipal enterprise research centre. Besides its catalogue it develops exclusive actives, compound raw materials, liposomes and microcapsules to a customer brief and takes contract manufacturing.
