Hebei Xinhe Biochemical Co., Ltd. has worked in biomanufacturing since it was founded in 1979. It is at No. 10 Xinglong Street in the Chengxi Industrial Zone of Xinhe County, Xingtai, Hebei.

The business moved over time from organic acids to microbial polysaccharides and then to biosurfactants, and from additives into raw materials. Its fermentation-derived gums include xanthan gum, gellan gum, curdlan, pullulan, sanxan gum and beta-1,3-glucan. Products are sold in separate grades for food, petroleum, construction, agriculture, environmental and household and personal care applications, so that the same polysaccharide platform serves food thickening and stabilising, oilfield drilling and fracturing fluids, and construction admixtures. A recent addition is a gypsum-based self-levelling mortar stabiliser developed to control cracking, bleeding and oil flotation.

The company runs three production lines each rated in the thousands of tonnes, covering oilfield chemicals, construction additives and food additives. It describes itself as an approved supplier to Chinese and international brands in the petroleum, construction and food industries.
