Heilongjiang Fanglin Pharmaceutical processes medicinal plants into extracts and prepared herbs. Its extract list draws on the roots and herbs of the north east and beyond, ginseng and American ginseng, astragalus, eleuthero or Siberian ginseng and peony, with stevia alongside them, and it also cuts and cures fresh-harvested crude drugs into traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces.

The company is a state-owned business under Longjiang Forest Industry Group and dates only from September 2022, which makes the plant new. It sits on 72,000 square metres at Harbin with 52,000 square metres of building and a reported fixed asset investment of 140 million yuan, covering fresh crude drug processing, decoction piece production and extraction on one site.
