Runda Food Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. was formally established in January 2020 in the Zaozhuang Private Science and Technology Industrial Park in Shandong Province. It makes food and feed additives, with a catalogue of 13 products across seven series covering propionate, acetate and benzoate salts.

The company employs 118 people, of whom 28 work in research and development, and runs joint technology transfer and application programmes with China Agricultural University, Shandong Agricultural University and Shandong University of Science and Technology. It states that its propionate series is the largest single-product operation of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region.

Products are made to FCC IV, E 282, FAO and WHO and British Pharmacopoeia 2000 specifications, under HACCP and ISO management systems, and the company holds ISO 22000, Halal and Kosher certification. Exports go to North America, the European Union, ASEAN countries, Africa and Japan. It is a member of the China Food Additives and Ingredients Association and a governing unit of the China Feed Industry Association and the Shandong Feed Association.
