Shijiazhuang Shixing Amino Acid was set up in 1980 and produces amino acids and sweeteners. The range covers L, D and DL forms and compound amino acids, including the glycine, alanine, methionine, arginine, cystine, glutamic acid and leucine grades listed here, along with threonine, lysine hydrochloride, tryptophan, phenylalanine, proline, serine, cysteine, glutamine, tyrosine, valine, isoleucine, histidine and taurine. The company describes itself as the largest glycine supplier in China. Sweeteners are a second line, covering aspartame and sucralose.

The works are at Jiacun, Xing'an, Gaocheng, in Shijiazhuang, Hebei. Pharmaceutical and food grades are produced under GMP conditions, and material is made to USP, BP, EP, FCC and AJI standards or to customer specification. Blends and compounds are supplied for foods for special medical purposes, infant formula, sports nutrition and beverages, and for cell culture fermentation. The company states that 85 percent of its output goes to the United States and Europe. No plant area, capacity or headcount figures are published.
